  1. Great review like usual. Too bad you don't compare with the contemporary version. For me in the L-mount system, what do I get for close to 1000$ more?

  2. You know, I have the same type of "jerky" VC stabilization on my (very nice though) Tamron 70-300, and I have to say – I hate it. It's gorgeous for stills, but as a video guy I can't handle it! There absolutely should be a physical switch for photo/video modes, I BET. And the first one who implements it – I'm sold.

  3. @christopher frost You really need to rework your testing methodology. Af testing is weak and insufficient. No testing in dark situations or on moving subjects.

  4. I wonder how this compares to the Canon RF 100-500 F4.5-7.1. I don't know how you'd accurately compare it given the fact that Canon hasn't opened up the RF mount yet. I think that'd be an interesting comparison though given the trade offs and fact the RF is an "L" lens (comparable to the Sigma Art line I think, whereas I think the Sports are a step down from Art?)

  5. Hi Chris,
I just wanted to say thanks very much for all of the reviews, I hope to add this or similar for my next adventures… I will wait for your comparison video first though 😉
I used 3 Sony lens on my A6600 whilst locked down in Africa for a year filming my travels and wildlife, I had to self teach myself to film, and now the editing side of things, but thought you might like to see one of the new channels you've help to inspire…
