My recording setup:
Lighting: Woods Clamp lighting (I use 2 of these)
Camera: Canon T5 – This is what I use, but it’s probably a better deal to get the newer model: Canon T6 –
Microphone: Boya lapel mic (when I talk to the camera) –
and Blue Snowball mic (on screen capture videos) –
Recording software: Quicktime
Editing software: Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects

  1. Question: once we are done tracing the image, how do you cut the image out from the background? I feel like that step was skipped in this tutorial. Super helpful nonetheless, so thank you!

  3. Hi Anne, you said you was wondering how the subtract from worked in the CA tracing tool. Maybe when you’ve completed a path, go to the paths pallete click it off, then on again, then go back to the the subtract from and click it and make a new path. Just like you would when you subtract from a shape. Just a suggestion, i don’t know, cos i haven’t tried it yet!
