  1. Just ordered a Canon Pixma Pro 200, and I really appreciate these tips! Especially the tip about printing often. Also about the sample packs. I didnt even know they existed!

  2. Great tips thank you. I use luminar ai and pixma pro 100s. Because I don't have lightroom I can't use canon printer pro and am stuck with easy photo from canon which is simply awfull. I have a calibrated monitor but the colour match is rubbish. Can you recommend a good photo print software package?

  3. Craig, Informative video. Thanks. I just purchased a Pro-200 and it is on its way. For your Pro-100, how did you create the test sheets as shown in Tip 4?

  4. Thinking about purchasing the Pixma Pro-200. What do you recommend as the paper choice to start with for black and white photography? I assume I can print 4×6 with this printer? Thank you in advance!

  5. Excellent information! Thank you. This is very timely for me as I'm just getting started with my new Canon Pixma Pro-200. Thanks again!

  6. Yup, Pro100 user about 3 -4 years now. I am guilty. guilty, guilty. I figured if something happens I'll just get another one for the price with the rebate figured in. No rebates anymore. I have gone up to3-4 months without printing with no problems. Don't do test sheets either. Soon or later it will catch up. Lately , I have been printing a lot. Purchased 2 packs of the CansonInffinity sample packs &, 3 packs each of the Red River Photography &, Photography Expansion sample packs. I figure, Pick 3-4 different type of photos (eg. south west landscape Porrtrait, & something that would look good printed on metal) & print one of each on every type of paper in the sample packs. Then pick the 1,2, or 3 papers you might stick with. Got a question. Do you know what picking the actual paper types gloss, luster, other fine art does in the pro 100? Not talking icc profiles. Other fine art makes me use a 1-1/8" border. I chose another paper type so I could print with a smaller border & it came out just as good. Tried calling Canon but was on hold to long & hung up.

  7. Good information. Can you address printer settings when using Photoshop 2021 and the Pixma Pro 100. I'm having much difficulty. Thanks.

  8. Thank you for this information. A casual user here and just purchased the Canon Pro 200 and just learning the how to's. Not even sure why I got a printer for photos but fun to do for sure.
